Everyone involved with the operation of Houdini Media websites is a seasoned recruitment and operations professional.The team has amassed an amazing 40 odd seasons, with experience ranging from ski seasons, summer repping, teaching English and outdoor sports. This is complemented by bags of overseas management experience and a passion for interesting jobs.
MD - Mick Briggs
Mick’s experience includes summer and ski seasons, outdoor sports, European campsite operations and UK leisure work. He is the MD of Houdini Media Ltd and one of the founder members.
Director - Mike Ferguson
As well as the obligatory seasonal work in Europe, Mike has worked extensively in the UK hospitality trade and overseas operations management, and is now a senior manager at Scotland’s number 1 recruitment website, S1jobs. Mike is a Director and sits on the board of Houdini Media as a specialist advisor on the online recruitment industry.
Office Manager - Nina Briggs
Nina is our key account and office manager. Her experience includes seasonal staff recruitment and training; overseas and UK hospitality work. Nina is the HR professional and advises on recruiter needs and industry changes.
Commercial Manager – Kelvin Bremner
Kelvin has worked in hospitality, management and sales across the world. Kelvin’s experience helps continually provide the best value recruitment tools around and attract new and interesting recruiters for Houdini to work with.
IT and development – Johnny Wardlaw
Johnny is a top-class web developer with a CV that includes the Police, sports clubs, large banks and specialist tour operators. His skills keepHoudini at the technical forefront of its niche. Additionally, his experience of working overseas helps ensure that developments always provide a practical and common sense solution for both job seekers and recruiters alike.
Press Office – Steph Middleton
Steph is the point of contact for any media enquiry, whether it’s for comment on an industry issue or to find a feature case study of a married couple who met during a ski season or on a gap year. With a ski season under her belt and a few air miles to boot, as well as over eight years’ consultancy experience, Steph is Houdini’s PR and communications manager.
